Dear Faithful Friends & Readers,
Hi. Summer is in full swing and i’ve been keeping busy with work, activities and life. Lots going on. But I wrote an article a few weeks ago for my parents for their organization Back to Eden Group on their website (www.b2egroup.net). You can find more cool content and spiritual and inspiring articles on there. So I decided to use this article for my July blog post. Hope you enjoy it. Please leave a comment at the end and get some dialogue going.
I AM. Arguably two of the most powerful words one will ever speak out into the atmosphere. These three letters separated by one space declare a present reality. They force an ultimatum, a decision that must come to a climactic crescendo…ultimately the atmosphere, both people and nature, must accept this vocal stance or get out of the way…there is no middle ground.
So it was with Moses and the people of Israel in the biblical epic found in Exodus. Heralded as one of the most famous stories of the scriptures, we follow Moses from his perilous escape as an infant from the genocide edict of the king of Egypt, being raised in the Egyptian palace by Pharaoh’s daughter, his exile to the wilderness all the way up to his calling by God through the burning bush and beyond into his commission to set the Israelites free from their captivity and slavery in Egypt as God’s chosen messenger. Moses at first struggles with the thought of God choosing him as the vessel in which to free the Israelites and questions God but eventually Moses grasps the concept…because of this statement that was made by God.
“Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
Herein lies the secret that institutional religion, controlling leaders, false APE’s (as you saw in the previous post)…fear the most. A gospel that is current, living and active and sharper than a double-edged sword like Hebrews 4 describes.
Why is an I AM gospel something institutional religion fears?
Answer: Because it is a PRESENT gospel…a gospel that cannot be controlled or reigned in to announce the arrival of when they see fit to do so…not in the days gone by and by…not living in the past…not one day in the future…but now…in fact our faith is described as NOW FAITH IS in Hebrews 11:1…IT IS…if you aren’t living an I AM, IS, present at this moment gospel you are not living the true gospel you are following heresy.
Stay present when it comes to your faith…enough damage has been done through people who claim to represent Christ and boast about traveling in the spirit through Saturn’s rings, talking to angels that aren’t even in the bible, living in the past and giving more honor to lying down on top of graves of dead saints (necromancing) than they do to the phrase I AM. When the Pharisees pushed Jesus to the limit in the gospel of John and began to mock his mission, doubt his message and hurl insults at him…Jesus silenced the crowd by saying “I am telling you the truth…before Abraham was…I AM.” Period. Game over. Jesus knew who he was, Moses had all the ammunition he needed to confront the might of Egypt with I AM imprinted upon his DNA…and so should we. The most powerful thing we can live, walk in and declare out loud is I AM.
Conclusion? I AM WHO I AM BY THE GRACE OF GOD
I AM, THAT IS, JUST DO IT
